Letters to the Editor

Robert reads all letters. He responds to letters that warrant a response. Not all letters warrant a response. This is not a judgment. It is an observation.

The Plainism Institute has maintained a letters section since the second issue, Vol. I No. 2, Summer 1953. At that time Robert received three letters. He responded to one. He did not explain which one or why. He has maintained this policy since.

Letters selected for publication appear in the print edition of Modern Living Quarterly and may appear on this page at Robert's discretion. Robert's discretion is final. It is also, in Robert's view, the only kind of discretion worth having.

You may write to Robert at robert@plainism.com or submit a letter using the form provided. He will read it. Whether he responds is a separate matter.

"I thought the lighter khaki introduced in Vol. LXVIII was a refreshing choice and would love to see it again. Just a thought from a long-time reader."

— We will not. Carol says hello.

FROM: FRANK, NORMAL, ILLINOIS

"The gutters piece from Vol. XXXV No. 4 remains the finest thing you have ever published on the subject of gutters. Do you have plans to revisit the subject?"

— The gutters piece stands on its own. Vol. XXXV No. 4. Available at select locations. We need not revisit it. The subject has been addressed.

FROM: A READER, ILLINOIS

"Where can I find Vol. XLIV No. 2? I have checked several locations and cannot locate it."
